Just won a compact Mac on auction!

So I just got this Mac (I haven't picked it up yet, so I don't know a lot about it) (I'm not sure which model, either a 512K or an upgraded 128K or 512K - definetly not a 128K, these didn't support 800K drives), and it appears to include the following:

-Bag (always wanted one!)
-800K "Cutting Edge" floppy drive
-A few cases of floppy disks
-Possibily a keyboard in the front pocket
-Mouse (the thinner cables appears to be one - I have an M0100 and the cable width appears to be the same)

I was wondering a few things:
-Is it possible at all to tell what kind of Mac this is by the front and bag contents?
-Can anyone tell what sticker is on the front?

Thanks!

Good catch!
Well... it could also be a 128K/512K upgraded to a Plus, but, I'd say, there's no way to know.
Let us know!

That's sort of where I'm at too. The 800K drive suggests a Plus, but due to these computers being so rare here (Tasmania, an island state in Australia), it could possibly be a 512K.
I'll let you know as soon as I pick it up.
P.S - It cost $165 AUD. Reeeeeeeeeally good for Australia (they usually go for $300-$800+ here)

If it includes the keyboard it's really a bargain... even if it doesn't it's a very good price.
I paid that for my 512K and it was the bare computer, so I had to get all the rest and it ended up way (way!) higher... But in Europe (and here in Switzerland in particular) we aren't so lucky as in other places.

I feel you! I've only seen about 4-5 Compact Macs here in Tasmania in all the time I've been collecting.

The keyboards and mice are the worst really. Luckily I have an M0110 already so if I don't get one it's not the end of the world.
I really hope there's a mouse though - I'd hate to take one from my Plus constantly.

Nice one. :giggle:
I have a bag too, sadly the foam padding between the inner and outer fabric seems to fall apart, which means there is a bunch of particles everywhere. I was thinking about replacing the foam, but lack the sewing skills to close it up again.
Hope yours is stable in that regard.

From what I can see in the photo, there doesn't seem to be any foam padding around, so fingers crossed.
Question: Does the bag have a sewed on handle? I'd like to use it for carting my Mac Plus around.

I don't know exactly what is your model, but typically these bags have two handles made of straps sewed around the bag (I can see that in the photo), and also a shoulder strap, that could still be there if you're lucky.

Also judging by the front pocket which I assume is for a M0110 keyboard, it looks to be a 128K or 512K era bag.

I don't tend to trust the handles after almost 40 years... I carry them by hugging them with my hands underneath.

That's pretty good for anywhere, let alone Australia :). Agreeing with others upthread: it's 128/512/512ke/Plus, but can't tell which just from the front.

Okay guys just picked it up a few hours ago.
It's a 512K! Just the one I hoped it was. It has an 800K drive, so it might be upgraded.
It has the following:
-M0110 keyboard (Yes!)
-M0100 mouse (in beige)
-XYBER XL800 Floppy drive
-Box of floppies
-Bag
-AC cord

It's an M0001WP, which is the European variant of the 512K. Not a 512Ke, though.
Fired straight up, reading disks perfectly from the internal and external drive.
Bag isn't an Apple one, but is made for these machines, so it's pretty cool.
The CRT doesn't show signs of burn in, but I didn't check super well.
The battery compartment has lots of corrosion, so I'll be fixing that up tomorrow.

Very, very happy with this as it was paid for by my parents as an early birthday present (after I had won it on auction).

I'll crack it open and inspect it and show you guys the insides.

The fabric is niceer than mine as well, mine is some polyester blend, this seems to be cotton.
