Performa 550

So recently I saved a performa 550 from my works recycling facility, The machine it self is in excellent shape however the clock battery over the years seems to have leaked and corroded a nice little chunk of the logic board near the adb ports. I tried to clean it and maybe save it but it's a no go.
So does anyone have an extra 550 logic board laying around they might part with and if so how much?

An LC/Performa 575 board would be a nice upgrade... 68LC040 chip instead of the 68030 chip. Swap in a full 68040, and you'll have Quadra 950 speed in an all-in-one Mac.

Never would have thought of that. If I can find one at a decent price I will for sure consider that.

Wait so I have a Power mac 5200/75lc that works great but is in piss poor shape, will that logic board fit in the performa 550?

Did you try soaking it In some white vinegar first? Sometimes WD-40 actually helps break ups the battery goo.

I mean I have a Color Classic ii board (basically an LC550) and a LC575 board both are in machines but I could part ways if need be.

I think the board you have is salvageable, worst case it’s an EGRET and I have some spares of those

I don't know, alot of the pins on these chips are corroded off, and im pretty sure a small "something" fell off completely when I first took the board out. Im not equipped to repair this board nor do I have the knowledge. Just thought I would check and see if the boards exsited for any kind of cheap price, Im not willing nor can I afford to spend hundreds of dollars on things like this so I guess Ill make room for the next one I come across.

Here ya are positive this guy would ship to the US. LC550 LogicBoard.
I appreciate it, but I'v already stripped the drives out, im just going to get rid of it. I thought about selling it as is but it would not be worth it because of shipping charges. Hey you win some you lose some, It was worth a shot. I still have my 5200/75LC, apple SE, and my Emac to keep me entertained.
