^Not bad. Apple superceded the 9" green monitor to the monochrome IIgs version, along with the AppleColor Composite Monitor IIc in 1988-89, right around the time the IIc Plus came out... Usually sold with a stand that sat behind the //c, but didn't suspend the monitor above the computer like the old "U" shaped stand for the 9" monitor //c.

The IIc itself is an A2S4000 so I think the monitor was a later purchase...not that I mind, green screens are nice but this monitor is nice too.

I don't know yet which ROM version I have but it's definitely not the original revision IIc because it doesn't have the keyboard with the rubber mat, and it has Alps switches of some kind.

Fire it up, then hit control-reset to stop the drive from booting. When the basic prompt appears type "? PEEK(64447)". It should return the ROM version.

255 is the original version. 16K ROM that allows booting from drive 2, using PR#7.
0 is the second version where the ROM was increased to 32K. Added UniDisk 3.5 support, but deleted the second 5.25" drive boot feature.
3 is the version that allowed use of the Z-RAM memory upgrade that AE sold.
4 fixed bugs present in ROM 3.

Information is from @bigmessowires's website... https://www.bigmessowires.com/2015/05/29/apple-iic-rom-upgrade/

With it being a platinum colored //c, I suspect it's at least a ROM 3 machine...

Unfortunately I can't run those commands because currently my system is constantly registering key presses that aren't happening (despite no keys being physically stuck down). No idea what causes this...

The ROM 3 and 4, aka the "Memory Expansion Apple IIc" are labelled model A2S4100. They also have the better designed Alps keyboard.

The original, more common, IIc had that mushy black Apple designed keyboard switch. The orange Alps were a good step up.

I got myself a slightly battered (internally, anyway) and also faulty Power Mac 7600/120, not exactly ideal to get one in this condition but they're pretty hard to get AT ALL.

Yeah, I have only seen two 7600s for sale recently and the other one was sold by a zero feedback seller for more than I paid for this one.

Really? The 7600 is getting rare?

I guess that means I'm definitely holding onto the one I got for free back in 2017-2018!

Are 7200's equally as hard to find? I have one I don't really want.

Sorry for the minor derailment....

After a few failed attempts, I finally got my hands on a PowerBook 540c! It works great, the plastics are intact enough to manage, and I'm very happy.

I sold my Power Mac 5400 and I was missing it, so naturally when the opportunity presented itself I bought another one.

Sweet system, I'd love to have one of those. Saw one for sale at the VCF East Swap Meet in February, but it was yellowed, and $100 (which was a good price - just didn't want to pay it at the time) and I passed. Hopefully another one shows up at some point, I love AIOs! Enjoy it.

I paid $125 for this one but it came loaded (maxed RAM, the full AV kit, USB card, etc). Don't regret it it all!

The 9.1 install needs to go, though. This system just doesn't have the grunt for OS 9.

Well, on the bright side, if the worst happens and you get a box full of shattered plastic, you will learn in great detail how to fix it!
