I ran across a photo from Blakespot a while back and have lusted over it ever since. Doubt I'll ever be able to find a complete setup with CRT in decent enough condition to bother purchasing or to justify making room I don't really have but would like to at least live vicariously through all of you ;-) please share your best Blue and White G3 photos for me to drool over :D

This is what got me and it's a little grainy so I'm sure there are more recent setups to wet the appetite... there's something truly calming about the blue combo.

I've actually been looking on and off the the past almost year now but sad to see just how badly abused these machines tend to be. Most every thing I see is in terrible condition and it's disheartening.

0C1052AF-1BB6-46B2-BFB8-3F9397E48E36.jpegNot a super great photo but there’s my setup. It’s immaculate I disassembled three machines down to the bare metal to get as close to perfect plastics as possible. Thoroughly cleaned everything. I do have the blue monitors but they are at my dads in Nebraska I’m not crazy about them so if your near there and want them let’s make a deal lol

Machine Specs:
1.1Ghz Powerlogix G3
G4 Heatsink
Radeon 9200
1GB Matching OWC Memory
Sonnet Tango
Generic Sata card
Zip Drive
Super Drive
Noctua main fan upgrade

Yeah I know it’s probably overkill I just wanted to be on the safe side. It’s a direct bolt on fit from a G4 Yikes and is a significantly bigger heatsink. With as rare and hard as it was for me to get the 1.1Ghz G3 card I figured why not just go the extra mile for a little bit of peace of mind. Besides it looks cooler too! Lol I’m half tempted to have it anodized into an awesome color just for extra bling bling lol. You know how everyone loves those purple sonnet heatsinks.

That's too cool! :D and I agree, you should definitely give it the purple Sonnet treatment! Appreciate you sharing the internals, I've never seen a CPU that overhangs like that in a socket. Amazes me after 30+ years with the hobby of computers the things that take me by surprise as a first time sighting.

Anyone do anodizing? Send me a PM lol.
That’s actually on par with the factory overhang on these. But if you think that’s extreme checkout the overhand on this powerlogix g4 and sonnet g4 zif cards. Lol Last pic of a stock cpu for illustration.
