The ImageWriter II was a dot-matrix printer capable of color printing with a color ribbon - the first Apple-branded printer to do so. It was a redesign of the original ImageWriter and due to its immense popularity as a low-cost printing solution for printing banners, labels, and multi-part forms, was produced from September 1985 until late 1996, making it the longest-running Apple product in history. It was one of three printers produced by Apple in both "Fog" white and "Platinum" (LaserWriter, LaserWriter Plus).
LocalTalk networking cards and a sheetfeeder option were produced for the ImageWriter II.
