Using Unix on 68k Macs

If you are interested in using Unix on 68k Macs, know that there are several options available to you. Each of these options as a general minimum requires the presence of MMU.

A/UX

A/UX was Apple's first attempt at a Unix-based operating system. It will run on select machines from the Macintosh II series and Quadras. In addition to the MMU, A/UX requires an FPU.
Linux
NetBSD
NetBSD was the first free operating system to run on 68k-based Macs.
OpenBSD
The mac68k port of OpenBSD was derived from NetBSD.
