Google is your friend.

A simple "powerbook 230 take-apart" will take you to the following link:

<snip>

And yes the screen seems to be identical with the 210 one.

All powerbooks seems to follow more or less the same rules,remove battery, remove the bottom screws, flip the keyboard, remove the top cover... change the HD.

Concerning the screen, some screws should be hidden by plugs.

Removal of the hinge caps at the two sides is a good idea before moving the top cover forward to get at the innards. Beware the cable connecting the trackball to the logic board, too, when you get the top off -- very easily broken at that stage.

You only have to remove the hinge covers. Then close the laptop. Release the clips that hold the display cover and just slide it off.
There's no need to disassemble the whole duo just to remove the LCD panel.

Take Care,

I forgot to add you need to remove the 2 screws under the square piece of plastic on the front bessel of the LCD housing first of course before you remove the cover...

Good luck

I can take your old display ribbon, if you don't want it! Yes!?

(And yes, removing the two screws in the display is what SHOULD have been done to the 2300 display I have...after those two screws come out, it comes apart really easy.)

I get the liberty of repairing that broken plastic projection where the brass studs are pressed in.
