Remanufactured Ink/Toner Recommendations

Postby lastmile77 » 25 Mar 2012, 18:24

I need a new toner cartridge for my LaserJet 5M. I bought an original HP 98X high capacity cartridge off ebay and it only lasted a few months before grey streaks started showing up on the paper. I found out this is most likely due to a failed wiper blade and that they deteriorate with age so even "new" HP cartridges probably won't last long anymore. You can supposedly buy replacement wiper blades but I can't find any place that will only sell a few at a time.

Does anyone have any recommendations for where to buy remanufactured cartridges online? I'm looking for toner but if anyone knows of good place for inkjet cartridges as well that might help others here running older inkjet printers.

I did find one recommendation with a search of the forum but the link was broken.

Symptoms seem to fit with the wiper blade problems I've read about on other sites. Had the previous cartridge do the same thing though it lasted quite a bit longer. Switching the the current one completely fixed the problem - for awhile.
