I'm trying to find the iTunes 1.1.3 patch that allowed you to run iTunes on Mac OS 8.6 but it seems to be one of those files that with time has appeared in links on google.....all referring to the same torrent or download URL.....both of which are dead.
Does anyone else have a copy of it?

I was looking for this a few months ago. I never found it...

Edit: Wow. I somehow double posted the thread.
Edit: Huh. I download the 1.1 installer SMI, extract it to a writeable directory, apply the patch, then install and it still insists that I be running Mac OS 9, OR if I use the other version that the patch generates if you patch the application after the install, it crashes with a -11 or 9 error.

I tried it here in a 8.6 Sheepshaver install and it worked fine.
Copy installer from smi to hard disk, patch and run patched installer.
Don't restart
Patch iTunes and extension
Restart
iTunes will complain if Documents/iTunes doesn't exist. Create it and run iTunes again.
Make sure you're running "iTunes 1.1 for Mac OS 8" and not iTunes as it creates a new patched app.

Awesome, thanks protocol7! I'll keep this in mind when I get 8.6 back up on the B&W or 2300c.
