I'm currently trying to run an old piece of awkward software from 1986 and it just won't run if there is more than 19mb System Ram. I tested this under emulation using Basilisk II.
Right now I'm using a PowerBook 190cs and it has 40mb of Ram and when I run the application it just crashes. I tried installing earlier versions of System 7 to see if it would give me the option to turn off 32-bit Addressing but the option was not there. I guess the hardware doesn't support it.
My question is are there any solutions for limiting system ram? or compatibility applications that can remedy this problem?
gday whitey, sounds like u will need sys 6 for that app. And u might even find , as its a really early app, it _may_ only like running on a 68000 might i suggest a mac plus or, if you can wait, the mac in an fpga project.
