What to do for Stuffit

Postby PackingTape » 19 Sep 2010, 18:51

I think I am in some variant of Stuffit hell. Here is the situation. My IIci arrived today and it works great. My only other computer is a 12" Powerbook G4 (running 10.4). It has stuffit but no floppy drive, and the iici has a floppy deive, no CD, and no stuffit. The IIci also has Ethernet (runs system 7.5). Also, at work I have access to computers running Linux with floppy drives and internet access. How do you think I could best get software onto the IIci? I'm stumped. Thanks for your help!

Hunt around for a copy of Stuffit on a floppy disk image. You can write that to a real floppy disk using dd using your Linux box.

If I'm not mistaken I posted a few StuffIt floppy images here not too long ago.

Edit:Yep, I did, 4 different versions. Here they are:

Thanks for the link. Turns out the IIci's floppy is dead (I'm pretty sure anyway), so I'll have to try something else. Argh!
