AppleVision 1710AV - dim display

Is there any way to fix a dim display on my 1710? I'd love to use it with one of my DTV->VGA boxes.

Full brightness isn't very bright...

CRTs do fade over time, and those particular monitors are notoriously unreliable. I'd pick another.

Try increasing the brightness and/or voltage knobs on the flyback. On some monitors, it works really well and makes it seem like brand new, but on other monitors it just washes out the picture and causes diagonal lines to appear, or doesn't do much of anything.
