Mac TV/Performa 520

Hi everyone, got some helpful information here once before for my other mac, just wondering if someone could tell me where to find a boot disk for my MacTV, it is essentially the same as a LC 520 or Performa 520 I have read, but I can't get any boot disks to work. I have 7.1 install disks but it refuses to boot from them, although they boot on my other macs. I tried copying system enabler 404 to the system folder (I think thats what I needed to do) and it would not boot off the disk..

Is there a system on it now? Will it read any other disks?

If not, it is probably not the disks and more than likely the drive itself. If it does see the disks when booted by whatever is on the hard drive, then it is probably a weird issue with a bad PRAM battery.

Use 7.5, which has no System Enablers. You can always downgrade to 7.1 once you know that it is working and find what you need. Mind you, I rather like 7.5 on 68k hardware.

It has a bad PRAM battery. I have 7.5 on it now but the previous owner removed most of the extensions and control panels. I'll pick up another battery and try it again. Thanks
