Quadra 700 video color oddness

Just think, having a Quadra 950 in 1992 would be like having a Mac Pro today… except with more slots, more expandability, and on-board SCSI!

ok so i just got my q700 and i pulled all the guts out, took it to the bath tub, the case was filthy, i used a kitchen scrubber and cleanser, i scrubbed on it for like 2 hours. but now it looks good,

anyway even before i took it all apart, and cleaned it , its got a video card installed, it says micron technologies on it,
the best i can get is 640x480 but at millions of colors, witch is strange,
**the video has kind of a washed out tint thing going on**
cant adjust the gamma, might be a driver issue, but it says uncorrected gamma, cant change it

the onboard video works at like 1152x--- but there is a
**funny green tint going on with that,**
maybe it might be something to do with the DB-15 to vga adaptor i am using,

however the adaptor does not have any issues with any of the other mac's i'v used it with…

Your adapter may be set to sync on green. Try some other sync settings if your adapter has switches for that.

Some older Macs don't have all of the sync signals that newer monitors want, so it could even be that there is no combination of dip switch settings that will make your particular monitor and your Quadra 700 work together perfectly. It's unfortunate but true. You could try another monitor if all else fails.
